Requirements
Academic and English
We welcome applications from high-quality candidates in all subjects with appropriate previous study. Bachelor’s applicants will normally be expected to have a high standing in their high school performance, and master’s applicants should already hold a bachelor’s degree.
Key requirements
- Evidence of suitable academic background.
- Evidence of English language ability.
- A 3-question personal statement indicating readiness and suitability to study at the Global Academy.
- Bachelor’s applicants normally should have a maximum study gap of 5 years since high school, and normally no prior bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s applicants also need to provide 2 letters of recommendation.
Academic background
Bachelor’s applicants:
- Grade 12 pass or equivalent
- IGCSE O Level, 5 subjects grade “C“ & above
- GED 4 subjects (145 passing score in all subjects)
- IB Diploma (24 Points)
- Canadian OSSD Diploma – 31 completed credits
- Mathayom 6 (Thailand)
Master’s applicants:
- Bachelor’s degree in any subject
English language ability
If you are a non-native English speaker, or if you have not previously studied in English, you must have satisfactory English language skills to study at the Global Academy at Siam University.
Bachelor’s program entry: We generally accept a minimum of IELTS 5.0 (in all subscores) or equivalent.
Master’s program entry: Minimum of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent for entry onto our Pre-Master’s English course, or IELTS 6.0-6.5 for direct entry to Standard and Fast Track study routes.

Free English Language
Placement Test
Bachelor’s program applicants who do not have a sufficient English language test score for entry can take our free Pearson Versant English Language Placement Test to assess your level within our application process. Applicants will normally need to achieve a minimum overall Versant score of 50 (with none of the 4 sub-skill scores lower than 46). If you have requested this in your application, our Admissions Team will issue a unique test link after assessing your other application documents.
