As the Managing Director & Founder of Marketing Bear Co., Ltd., he helps regional and international businesses to transform their Online Marketing activities into data-driven success strategies.

Jan RohwederDigital Marketing and Entrepreneurship

Jon is currently Senior Vice President, Hotel Asset Management for JLL and member of the Board of Directors for the Australian Thai Chamber of Commerce. Prior to JLL, Jon had over 20 years’ experience in the Hospitality sector in the Accor Group, including General Manager roles across Novotel, Ibis and Movenpick properties in Thailand and Australia. He was also Accor’s Planet 21 Champion for the ASEAN championing the Group’s CSR and sustainability initiatives in the region.

Joana is an angel investor, strategist, problem-solver, multi-award winner and a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry. She began her career in marketing and advertising before transitioning into travel technology and digital media space. She has held various senior leadership positions within people and culture, operations, sales, marketing, and customer experience and has a proven track record of success, having helped a travel startup grow from 12M to 120M in just 5 years. Joana now shares her expertise with other startups and SMEs helping business owners and leaders to solve their organisational issues, execute ideas, and future-proof their organisations relocating to Bangkok in 2019.

Jordan is an educator, speaker and consultant with over 10 years experience working with some of the world’s biggest brands, including Spotify, Playstation, Sony Music, DHL, AfterPay and Scoot Airlines. After working in the field helping brands understand the world of digital, she quickly realised her love for educating - and became an Instructor for General Assembly, the World's leading tech and digital skills provider, teaching over 300 workshops and courses leading to becoming a Distinguished Member of Faculty. Since then, she’s become a globally in-demand trainer - teaching students looking to build their careers, lecturing at universities, training in-house teams and working with some of the biggest brands in the world.

Mentoring Workshops and Professional Networking

Our study program is dominated by readiness for the world of work. Instruction from leading practitioners, mentoring by successful entrepreneurs and professionals, professional networking and masterclasses on campus and in the workplace are a core part of the student experience.

Networking is amazing because there are two types of people I was able to meet during the program. First, the students themselves; I was able to meet them and share with them on various topics. Second, the business community; I was able to meet many Australian business professionals and learn about their stories and expertise in their fields.

Here at the Global Academy, we are not just looking at the academic education of students but also at their professional growth. Mentoring takes place throughout the program, and starting in the third year, we take students to networking activities in the business community with partners such the Australian Thai Chamber of Commerce. This, together with their internships, helps them to be perfectly set up for their career after they are done with their degree.
