Why Bangkok

A city where business, technology and Southeast Asia meet

Studying in Bangkok puts you in one of Asia’s most connected cities, with industry on your doorstep and the region within easy reach.

Business

A regional business hub

Many multinational companies, including Toyota, Huawei and Nestlé, run regional operations from Thailand, so Bangkok offers real exposure to international business.

Technology and AI

Investing in the digital future

In May 2026 Thailand’s Board of Investment approved around US$29 billion of new projects, about 95% of it for data centres that support AI and digital services. Computer Science and Business students study where this growth is happening.

My favorite activity was the Amazing Race. We explored iconic places around Bangkok, completed team challenges, and made lots of great memories. And guess what? My team won first place! Finally, we had Super Saturday, with activities like karaoke, open mic performances, and canvas painting. We really enjoyed it!”

Our strategic location in Bang Wa allows students to access campus from anywhere in the city, via both the Bangkok MRT and the Bangkok BTS (“Skytrain”), which both connect at Bang Wa station.

Bangkok is a popular, affordable and safe destination for thousands of international students every year. The GA has it’s own dedicated Student Affairs team to support all aspects of you life in Bangkok.

The Thai Education visa does not permit paid work, and students should not take up employment without the appropriate work permit. Some students gain experience through internships that form part of their programme, and some of these may include a subsistence allowance for travel and expenses. Students should check with the GA’s Student Affairs team before taking on any volunteer or unpaid role.

The campus has a Medical Center and Pharmacy. And the GA Student Affairs team has a dedicated number for support and guidance.

Food stalls, cafés including Café Amazon and True Coffee, KFC and convenience stores, with many options for around 100 THB (about US$3).
